Developed to help companies build effective, scalable food traceability plans.
Demystifying traceability is a new, customizable food traceability learning experience, designed to help small to mid-size companies, and their supply chains, to either evaluate the effectiveness of their existing traceability plans or create new ones. It includes:
- risk analyses (product and process risks)
- vulnerability assessments (for traceability)
- consequence management (for impact)
The online course provides a range of options from minimal level of traceability to best practice. It also helps individual companies and their supply chains to implement traceability mitigation strategies to fill the gaps identified by the course.
The course gives a robust background into food traceability principles and its value proposition. With in-depth case studies and examples, Demystifying Traceability illustrates these concepts in real world situations to bring an abstract subject matter to life. After completing coursework, you will have your own “Traceability Playbook” to plan your traceability system in your own operation. Similar to a food safety plan, the playbook will give you structured documentation and planning materials to enhance food traceability. By the end of the course you will have the knowledge and products to give you confidence in your traceability system.
This course is funded by a collaboration established by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
